La Rue Paul Creton
Paul Creton, living in Pont-de-Vie Vimoutiers, invented in 1640 the manufacturing process of the cretonne, the heavy unglazed cotton/linen canvas with a sort of pearly grains, also named in the past Canvas of Vimoutiers.
